New on DVD: 2012, Gentlemen Broncos, Where The Wild Things Are

Debuting on Digital Versatile Disc today are three movies that are also premiering on Comcast On Demand today – the comedies Gentlemen Broncos and Bitch Slap as well as the moody children’s tale Where The Wild Things Are. You can also finally bring the end of the world home with you by getting the disaster epic 2012, or if you want a more adorable experience, check out animation master Hayao Miyazaki’s latest film Ponyo.

Roland Emmerich is back once more with another epic spectacle of cataclysmic destruction, this time depicting a massive environmental shift that destroys civilization as we know it. John Cusack and Amanda Peet head a family trying to escape their fate, while Chiwetel Ejiofor and Oliver Platt are officials trying to save as many people as they can from the disaster that crazy conspiracy theorist Woody Harrelson saw coming.

Legendary Japanese animator and Academy Award winner Hayao Miyazaki returns once again with an amazing piece of artwork done in his inspirational and influential style. Here, he tells the story of Ponyo (Noah Cyrus, Miley’s little sister), a strange and bold little goldfish who bonds with a little boy named Sosuke (Frankie Jonas – a young Jonas Brother) so strongly that she uses magic to transform herself into a little girl and his best friend. Featuring the voices of Tina Fey, Liam Neeson, Cate Blanchett, Matt Damon, Betty White, Cloris Leachman and Lily Tomlin.

Also on DVD are Gentlemen Broncos, Where The Wild Things Are and Bitch Slap, all of which premiere on Comcast On Demand today as well.
