‘Sopranos’ Star, Jason Isaacs Top Latest Pilot Picks

Michael Imperioli, who last was seen playing a cop on ‘Life in Mars,’ is laying down the law again, this time in the ABC drama pilot ‘187 Detroit.’

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Emmy-winning ‘Sopranos’ alum will play a veteran detective with a short fuse is this documentary-style look at a Detroit homicide division.

Meanwhile, Jason Isaacs – one of the most hotly pursued actors this pilot season – has opted to play a cop-turned-attorney investigating the disappearance of a coworker in ‘Pleading Guilty,’ a Fox drama based on the Scott Turow legal thriller.

Isaacs last graced the small screen in Showtime’s ‘Brotherhood,’ and is familiar from such films as ‘The Patriot’ and ‘Harry Potter’ this-and-that.

• ‘Dexter’ alumna/’Desperate Housewives’ stripper Julie Benz will play the superspeed-empowered wife of Michael Chiklis in ABC’s ‘No Ordinary Family.’

• Adrianne Palicki (‘Friday Night Lights’) is one of the two wives of Jimmy Wolk’s polygamist oil tycoon in the Fox drama ‘Midland.’

• Jason George, currently wooing Bailey on ‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ has joined ABC’s Shonda Rhimes-produced ‘Off the Map,’ where he will play a womanizing ER doctor.

• Jon Seda, who next can be seen in HBO’s ‘The Pacific’ miniseries, is the cousin and second in command of Roselyn Sanchez’s soccer mom/drug queenpin in the ABC dramedy ‘Cutthroat.’

• ‘Lipstick Jungle’s Lindsay Price is the spoiled daughter-in-law of Adam Arkin and Jane Kaczmarek in the ABC comedy ‘Who Gets the Parents?’

• Fran Kranz (aka ‘Dollhouse’s Topher) is a millionaire tech nerd-slash-hopeless romantic in the NBC comedy ‘Friends With Benefits.’
