‘The Hills’ Heidi Montag’s Strange Bedfellow: Director Ron Howard

It doesn’t exactly top the hilarious reunion of Saturday Night Live’s best presidential impressions, but Ron Howard’s campaign for the government creation of a Consumer Agency to defend average Americans against the disgusting sorts of financial abuses that credit card companies and Wall Streeters inflict on them is still rolling on.

This time, he’s pulling out all the stops by featuring Heidi Montag, Plastic Surgery Queen, riffing on the dangers of plastic purchases.

She’s not exactly a natural fit for comedy, since the previous high point of hilarity she was involved in was getting booed on ‘The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien,’ but Howard managed to help her lampoon her public image and get a dig in on frenemy Lauren Conrad to boot. Maybe that was the concession he had to make to get her to agree to mock herself (and husband Spencer Pratt).

Check out Heidi Montag’s Funny Or Die sketch, directed by Oscar-winner Ron Howard.
