Move over, Hoff – there’s a new Hasselhoff in town. David Hasselhoff’s daughter Hayley has landed a leading role alongside ‘Hairspray‘ star Nikki Blonsky in a new ABC Family series called ‘Huge’ about kids struggling with their weight at a fat camp, says The Hollywood Reporter.

ABC Family has ordered ten episodes of the comedy series, which focuses on six teens who attend the fictional Wellness Canyon, a weight-loss camp.

Hasselhoff will play curvy Amber, “the hottest, thinnest girl at the camp.” Blonsky will play the “opinionated” Will, the maligned-but-wealthy daughter of fitness instructors. And another celebrity spawn, Zander Eckhouse, son of James Eckhouse (our fave dad on ‘90210‘), has been cast as a cute camp counselor interested in Amber.

The show, which is scheduled to premiere in late June, is written by ‘My So-Called Life‘ creator Winnie Holzman and her daughter Savannah Dooley, and is described as ‘Glee‘ meets ‘Ugly Betty.’

The opinions expressed are solely those of the author and do not necessarily reflect the views of Comcast.
