Wanna know what’s coming up on your favorite show? Tuesday is tease-day at Fancast, and MattMtvguy@gmail.com is the place to send your questions. Here now the scoop!
Got any ‘House‘ scoop? – Maura
How do you top the last season finale where Dr. Nasty checked himself into a psych ward? It sounds like the ‘House’ writers are up to the challenge when it comes to this year’s season-ender. “I can’t reveal too much, and this more of a sports reference, but it’s going to go down to the wire,” Peter Jacobson aka Dr. Taub teased me. “It’s definitely going to be dramatic and traumatic for all involved.” Are we talking one big game-changer or multiple medium-sized ones? “It’s more in the biggie category,” Peter said.
I read that in Episode 21 of ‘The Good Wife,’ both Cary and Alicia lose their jobs at Stern, Lockhart & Gardner. Do you know more about it? – Jess
Hmm. If Alicia loses her job, why does Kalinda take her out celebrating in one scene? And I tell ya, said scene better stick, because toward the end of it – and after perhaps one congratulatory cocktail too many! – Alicia asks her saucy snoop the million-dollar question: “Are you gay?” Kalinda’s response to the counselor’s line of questioning is… pretty awesome. All around, that episode (tentatively slated to air May 18) is rife with provocative moments.
Thank you so much for the Morena Baccarin Q&A. I have loved her since ‘Firefly.’ Do you have any more ‘V‘ info? – Walt
Only for my fellow ‘V’ fans would I stay up late to check out this week’s first new episode in ages, and I can offer these scooplets: We learn where the Visitors keep their hearts; one of our heroes is unwittingly exposed to the mysterious R6; Erica makes a deal with the devil; someone gives a mouse a long, hard, lip-smacking look; and the last 18 seconds will quite possibly make you jump out of your seat. Oh, and someone gets this choice bit of dialogue: “If I have to cross a line to blow that bitch out of the sky, I will.”
I think it’s interesting that ‘CSI: NY‘ brought Shane Casey back. Any ideas on how he might get revenge on the team that jailed him? – Cate
I recently gabbed with ‘CSI: NY’ star Melina Kanakaredes about the April 7 episode that offers Stella quite the showcase, but I also picked her brain about Shane Casey. She said the circumstances surrounding the serial slayer’s unexpected encore are, well, “interesting.” She added, “I don’t want to give away too much, but they tie it into a story point that’s been on the show all season long. It melds in really perfectly.”
Last week’s ‘Grey’s Anatomy‘ was a bit of a downer, with the Iraq story and the problems for Callie/Arizona. Anything to cheer me up? – Sophie
What if I told you – guaranteed you – that happy days are coming? What if I then qualified that pun by saying that ‘Happy Days’ mom Marion Ross will play a patient in the same May sweeps episode featuring Disney princess Demi Lovato? It’s the most, to say the least!
Do you have anything – anything at all – regarding ‘Criminal Minds‘? – Sarah
I know, as of late it’s been all about the backdoor spin-off airing April 7, right? Well, since you’re open to anything, I tracked down this guest casting bit: Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings will play a crime scene evidence tech in an episode slated to air May 5. Yeah, apparently the Packers are huge fans of the show. P.S. The backdoor ‘Criminal Minds’ spin-off airs April 7!
I am vehemently opposed to ‘The Big Bang Theory‘s Sheldon getting a girlfriend in the season finale. I thought the writers wanted to keep him asexual? – Kiko
I am of the same school of thought, but the two things might not go hand-in-hand. The word on the geek is that Shel’s eHarmony match-up, to be played by Mayim Bialik (‘Blossom’), is just as non-sexual as he is. So all is right with the world.
Any news about TNT’s ‘HawthoRNe‘? I love that show. – Susen
Will Smith has authorized me to share this: When Season 2 arrives in June, a freak accident will leave one doctor critically wounded and another injured. Good thing there are, you know, doctors around.
Is this week’s ‘Melrose Place‘ reunion between Amanda, Michael, Jane and Jo going to be full of fun moments for fans of the original series? – Denise
You mean, “Will the old folks take a walk down naughty memory lane?” There will be some “Funny seeing you here” exchanges, thought they’ll stop short of, say, Jane remrking, “Hey Michael, remember the time you tried to get with me while I was paralyzed?” And more relevant to the current show’s new mystery, Jo will recall a dark moment in D&D Advertising history that implicates Amanda in a new crime.
Is ‘The Mentalist‘ going to resolve the Red John case this season? – Kerry Anne
That’s on my list of questions for new CBI boss Aunjanue Ellis (‘True Blood’). Also on the menu: Is the new sheriff really gonna come down hard on Rigsby and Van Pelt? Check back Thursday for answers.
Are there any new ‘Supernatural‘ scoops that involve Dean? I haven’t heard a lot of spoilers about him. – Hermit
Well, some fans fear that’s because in the 100th episode, Dean makes some sort of deal with Michael, and one theory is that he agrees to donate his meat suit. Outside of that possibility, there is this to look forward to: a big throwdown ‘tween the bros. “I won’t give anything away, but the other day Sam and Dean had a bit of a tussle,” Jensen Ackles shared at a fan convention last weekend. On-screen sib Jared Padalecki then added that Sam and Dean’s bond could hit “rock bottom” by season’s end.
Hey Matt! We need some more ‘Vampire Diaries‘ scoop! – tvdfansonline via Twitter
I feel like the remainder of this season got sufficiently scooped at the recent Paley Center event, so instead I will share this about the freshman drama’s debut DVD set: As we speak, exec producers Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec and co-exec producer/director Marcos Siega are recording an audio commentary for the pilot, and there will be at least two featurettes. Look for Season 1 to hit stores in August.
It’s getting close to the end of the TV season and ABC still hasn’t added ‘Romantically Challenged‘ to their schedule. Is it possible that ABC won’t air it at all this spring and instead premiere it in the fall, with a complete season order? – Robert
As you may have since heard, Robert, Alyssa Milano’s ‘Romantically Challenged’ is now set to premiere Monday, April 12, at 9:30/8:30c. Among the series’ guest stars on tap is ‘Warehouse 13’s Eddie McClintock.
Hi, Matt! Nos daras mañana alguna novedad de ‘Smallville,’ gracias. – svmarines via Twitter
Tengo una pequeña cantidad. Pequeña!
I am not picky. I will take any tease about ‘Smallville’s Lois and Clark. I assumed you had at least one tidbit saved for the week “Escape” aired. – mcvs2104 via Twitter
Indeed, I tucked safely away one bit of a tid. As you can tell from the promos for this week’s episode in which Clois bump into Chlollie at a B&B, one of the series’ quippier outings is upon us. “You’re going to see a lot of Lois and Clark banter,” says Erica Durance. “That’s what I love about them, that they don’t lose their banter just because they’re being a couple.” And remember, there’s more “Escape” preview here.
This is the best thing on ‘Smallville’ right now. – ChlollieGAWT via Twitter
One of the best things, to be sure! It’s good to see Chloe sparkle.
I know the cancellation news is still pretty new, but is there any word on how ‘24‘ will end this season? – Ben
Exec producer Howard Gordon has used words like “pretty dark” and “complex” to sum up Jack’s final hours and the place they’re taking him to in preparation for, ideally, teeing up a feature film/franchise. As for Jack’s gal Friday, Mary Lynn Rajskub shared this on Twitter just moments before the “final season” news broke: “We’re shooting ep 23 & 24. I can’t believe the sh!&$ that’s going down. Especially with my character. It’s off the chain!” (We love Mary Lynn.)
‘Bones‘ is back this week! Are we gonna be dancing in the street in our skivvies, or striking Fox? – Rayne73 via Twitter
It is next week’s milestone No. 100 that will decide if you will boogie or cry “Bogus!” This week’s episode, meanwhile, offers up a fun side story in which we learn that Bones’ books are such a hit because of the S-E-X, not the S-C-I-E-N-C-E.
Anything on ‘90210‘? – Lisa
This week’s episode might not go over well in Villanova: As Dixon and his birth mom bond over talk of (groan) basketball, a reference is made to the Wildcats being the ones to beat in this year’s NCAA tourney – and I’m being told it won’t get edited out. But I’m cutting the show some slack since the same hour establishes that neither Adri nor Naomi know who Gloria Steinem is, which is all kinds of apropos.
Any scoop on my new favorite show, ‘Justified‘?! – Craig
I am now five episodes into FX’s terrific new offering, and there is this to look forward to: seeing just how ornery an old salt Raylan’s oft-mentioned pop is, and finding out which local lady our favorite marshal will hook up with first.
