“Absolutely, he was [fine],” Osbourne said at a press event Monday in Pasadena for her NBC summer competition show, ‘America’s Got Talent,’ of Michaels’ health during their shooting for ‘Celebrity Apprentice.’
“It’s just hideous, it’s devastating,” Osbourne said. “It makes you feel all these feelings like your heart goes out to his family, your heart goes out to him. The nicest guy in the world. Then you start thinking about your own mortality. You start thinking, Oh my God. It makes you appreciate how lucky we all are … What you hear is the same thing I hear.”
Michaels, 47, fell ill last week and is currently in intensive care for bleeding at his brain stem from a subarachnoid hemorrhage.
While his prognosis is unknown, ‘Celebrity Apprentice’s’ Donald Trump sounded an ominous tone on Monday to TMZ, saying, “[He’s in] big, big trouble, and the prognosis is not great. He turns out to be an amazing competitor, and ultimately that is the thing that could save his life.”
Osbourne, who had H1N1 virus while shooting ‘Apprentice’ and bronchitis shortly thereafter, says she will be taking some time off after filming this season’s ‘America’s Got Talent’ and a project later this year with daughter Kelly Osbourne, to rest her health as well. Osbourne said that she turned at least one job offer this year.
“As far as slowing down, I am,” she said. “I just tuned down a a judge on a new show in England. I felt like I was doing too much, so I am slowing down.”
One job she wont be taking is a judging job on Simon Cowell’s upcoming American version of ‘X Factor.’
“No, it’s like I have been there, done that,” she says. “You can’t go back. You have to go forward, for me personally.”
