In this highly-anticipated sequel to the blockbuster original Iron Man, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is reveling in being a superhero to the point of resisting the U.S. government’s attempts to commandeer the suit of armor he wears. But the real danger is in a disgruntled Russian genius named Ivan Vanko (Mickey Rourke) and his Stark-wannabe financier Justin Hammer (Sam Rockwell), both of whom are out to destroy him, as well as the fact that his own life-saving technology has some deadly side effects that may just kill him – and drive him alienate his best friends Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), Jim Rhodes (Don Cheadle) and Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau) in the process. Maybe SHIELD director Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Tony’s mysterious new assistant (Scarlett Johansson) have something to say about it.
