WWE vet Paul “The Big Show” Wight will grapple with his biggest TV role to date when he guest-stars on USA Network’s ‘Royal Pains’ this summer.
“Big Show” will play a bodyguard-turned-cult movie star stricken by a mystery ailment. Lest things get too “ugly” with the brawny bruiser on board, Erinn Hayes (‘Parenthood’) has been cast as his sister/manager, Fancast has learned.
‘Royal Pains’ star Mark Feuerstein is to credit with putting on the “Show,” having pitched the casting idea to a USA exec after filming the feature comedy ‘Knucklehead’ with him last fall.
“I loved this guy,” Feuerstein says. “And so bam!, the writers wrote an episode for him.”
But wait, there’s more: In the name of cross-promotion and corporate synergy, Feuerstein will appear on USA Network’s ‘WWE Monday Night Raw’ on June 14. “I’m very excited,” says the former high-school grappler.
‘Royal Pains’ premieres its second season on Thursday, June 3.
