With her chin up, head high and America’s sweetheart smile, no doubt, Sandra Bullock is coming out of hiding to attend the MTV Movie Awards on June 6.
“She will be attending,” her rep confirms to PEOPLE.
It was announced Wednesday that Bullock will receive the MTV Generation Award “for her riveting and diverse contributions to the film industry,” and she’ll appear in person to accept the award. Bullock is the first woman to receive the honor; past recipients include Tom Cruise, Jim Carrey, Mike Myers, Ben Stiller, Adam Sandler and Spike Lee.
The Oscar-winning actress has been in seclusion since the collapse of her marriage to ‘Monster Garage‘ star Jesse James, after news broke in March that he was having affairs with multiple women.
With a divorce reportedly in motion, Bullock, 45, has been spending time with her newly adopted four-month-old son, Louis Bardo Bullock.
