The legal case plaguing ‘Two and a Half Men‘ star Charlie Sheen may be coming to a resolution.

Charlie Sheen is expected to plead guilty to a misdemeanor offense and get 30 days jail time in a plea deal related to the Christmas Day altercation with his estranged wife Brooke Mueller, according to PEOPLE.

“Charlie intends to go to court on June 7 [to] plead to a misdemeanor and immediately begin serving his 30 days in jail,” says a source to PEOPLE. “With good behavior, he could end up doing 15 or so days.”

Before the Memorial Day weekend, settlement talks were ongoing and Sheen received a new court date of June 7.

A rep for the actor told Us Weekly: “Charlie has not agreed to do anything except enter into discussions with the court. He has been accused of a crime. Prior to any trial, courts would like to work out a plea. It saves the court money, it saves the community money. If they can do it, they will. If they can’t decide on something, they will go to trial.”
