Turner Classic Movies on June 8 will celebrate the life and career of actor/director/screenwriter Dennis Hopper, who passed away May 29 at the age of 74.

The TCM tribute includes Hopper’s 1955 film debut in ‘Rebel Without a Cause’ as well as the groundbreaking ‘Easy Rider.’

The complete lineup for Tuesday, June 8, is as follows:

8pm ET: ‘The Sons of Katie Elder‘ (1965), a rowdy Western costarring John Wayne and Dean Martin | Watch Trailer Here

10:15pm: ‘True Grit‘ (1969), a Western about an aged marshal who helps a girl find her father’s killer. John Wayne earned an Oscar for his performance. | Watch Trailer Here

12:30 am: ‘Rebel Without a Cause‘ (1955), starring (of course) James Dean. Hopper made his film debut as one of the rebellious youths in this intense portrait of teen angst. Natalie Wood and Sal Mineo also star. | Watch Trailer Here

2:30 am: ‘Easy Rider‘ (1969) – In this film about a trio of societal dropouts en route to Mardi Gras in New Orleans, Hopper directed as well as cowrote the Oscar-nominated screenplay with fellow cast mates Peter Fonda and Terry Southern. Jack Nicholson and Karen Black co-star.

4:15 am: ‘Night Tide‘ (1963) – Hopper plays a lonely sailor who falls in love with a mysterious woman (Linda Lawson) who plays a mermaid on the Santa Monica pier.
