Fox’s ‘Glee‘ is on the cusp of a syndication deal that would not only place repeats of the hit musical-comedy on Oxygen but also resurrect the concept of a reality series designed to find the next ‘Glee’ star.

As reported by Deadline.com, Oxygen would pay in the mid-six figures for each episode of ‘Glee,’ and also host/create “related original programming” including a summer 2011 reality competition in which contestants lobby for a role on the series.

Fox itself had announced such a ‘Glee’ reality spin-off to air late this summer, but recently scrapped the idea so the show runners could focus their creative energies on the program itself.
