As the first emotional season of Jillian Michaels’ ‘Losing It with Jillian‘ wraps tonight (NBC, 8/7c), the “no pain, no gain” fitness guru took some time to reflect on the challenges she faced working on the ‘Biggest Loser‘ offshoot, share the contents of her fridge, and why she’s the only person who doesn’t cry watching her show.

What’s been your toughest challenge on the show?
Being away from home, family, and friends while shooting. They are my source of support and without them it was very difficult to recharge and get centered.

Do you keep up with the people you’ve worked with? Do they continue looking for inspiration?
Yes of course! In fact, here is an email I just got back from Izzy Jones. The 12 year old daughter on the second episode of Losing It:

Hey Jill!
it’s Izzy. Guess what mamas’ doing right now? The appalachian trail on the treadmill you gave us!! Shes doing SO amazing, it’s insane.
She also loves the 40% incline too, that crazy woman.
We miss you and can’t wait until we see you in october!

Who this season has broken your heart the most?
I would have to say Agnes and Jimbo Mastropietro. Losing a child has got to be the absolute hardest thing to endure and they have both managed to bring meaning to their loss and continue on with strength and purpose.

If we looked into your fridge at home right now, what would we see?
So Delicious Coconut Milk and yogurt, fresh organic fruits and veggies, Ezekial sprouted grain bread, Pelegrino, a water filter, mustard, organic eggs, jalapenos, reduced fat organic cream cheese, almond butter, and hummus. I usually only snack and eat breakfast at home.

Do you cry when you watch the show at home?
I cried the most when we were shooting it. I actually watch so many different cuts of the show in the editing process that I don’t cry when watching at home. Plus I am usually too busy tweeting with people that are crying while they watch.

What did you think of the first season of ‘Losing It with Jillian?’ Would you ever let her move into your house?

The opinions expressed are solely those of the author and do not necessarily reflect the views of Comcast.
