Ex-JetBlue Flight Attendant Steven Slater Gets Late Night Love

By now, the story of JetBlue flight attendant Steven Slater and the hilariously profane and monumentally epic way he found to quit his job has made the news rounds, and despite the fact that he was arrested and jailed afterward, he got a lot of love from late-night last night as a working class folk hero.

Stephen Colbert made him his “Alpha Dog of the Week” in the second segment of last night’s episode of ‘The Colbert Report’, which you can watch right here. He provides a great summary of what exactly happened and how much he admires Slater’s “omega balls,” and “for refusing to safely stow your sac beneath the seat in front of you and raising your middle finger to the upright and locked position”

‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ lamented the fact that nobody caught the event on even a crappy cell phone video, so they reenacted Slater’s arrest by casting Andy Dick in the role.

On ‘Late Night’, Jimmy Fallon took it a step further and even wrote a song for Slater entitled “Get Two Beers and Jump,” after saying it was “the most kick-ass way to ever leave a job.”
