Former ‘Bachelorette’ DeAnna Pappas and ex-‘Bachelor’ babe Holly Durst are engaged to twins, the couples confirmed Thursday.
Pappas, 28, is engaged to Stephen Stagliano, and Durst, 27, is engaged to his twin brother Michael Stagliano.
Gal pals Pappas and Durst met the 26-year-old twins in 2009 at a party for ‘The Bachelorette: Men Tell All’ special.
The reality foursome, who gave an exclusive interview to Us Weekly–while wearing matching outfits–are planning a double wedding.
“It was a joke at first. We never really talked about having a double wedding and then all of the sudden, we realized this might work out. This is going to be fun. We’re best friends and here we are, we’re going to be sisters,” DeAnna said of sharing her wedding day with Holly.
Pappas clarifies that the girls each got their own special proposals, however.
“Stephen proposed to me on Memorial day weekend…different day from Michael & Holly. We each had our own wonderful engagement day,” Pappas explained on Twitter.
Michael, who appeared on ‘The Bachelorette’ Season 5, popped the question to Holly, a Season 12 ‘Bachelor’ contestant, on June 26 at her parents’ lake home in Ohio, according to Us.
News of Pappas’ engagement leaked Tuesday in In Touch Weekly, which she first denied on Twitter, but by Thursday Pappas was ready to spill ‘The Bachelor’ beans.
“Yes, you have no idea how hard it was for me & @StephenStag to keep this a secret! But, we wanted to enjoy it with our families first :)”–Pappas wrote on Twitter.
Durst was more direct in her note on the delay in confirming the double dose of good news: “@HollyDurst thanks!!! Grab this week’s Us Weekly. We gave them the exclusive story!!! :)”
Newly engaged Ali Fedotowsky also Tweeted well wishes to her fellow ‘Bachelorette’ DeAnna: “LOVE to!!! RT @AliFedotowsky: @DeAnnaPappas So exciting! Congratulations!!! We should share wedding planning tips :)”
But the ‘Bachelorette’ engagements don’t stop there.
Jesse Csincsak, the man who received the final rose and a proposal from DeAnna Pappas on Season 4 of ‘The Bachelorette,’ is also set to marry … a former ‘Bachelor’ contestant.
The 28-year-old snowboarder, who was dumped by Pappas two years ago, recently proposed to Ann Lueders, a 26-year-old from Phoenix who appeared on Season 13 of ‘The Bachelor’ aka the one where Jason Mesnick swapped sweethearts.
Csincsak chartered a private plane, whisked his new love to a small island on Lake Erie and asked for her hand — with a $22,000, two-carat diamond ring.
“This is definitely the epitome of spontaneous — hopping on a plane, going to a small island and going to dinner [to celebrate]!” Ann says in a video of the proposal on Radar.
The couple met on a ‘Bachelor’ reunion cruise to Mexico last year and reportedly plan to wed at the end of August.
Looks like the dating show isn’t such a bad matchmaker after all.
Okay, ‘Bachelor’ haters and lovahs, place your bets: Who will last? And who doesn’t stand a chance?
