Get ready for the debut of the highly-anticipated new dark comedy series ‘The Big C,’ starring three-time Emmy winner Laura Linney as a wife, mother and teacher who upends her life after receiving a terminal cancer diagnosis. Emmy nominee Oliver Platt (‘Huff,’ ‘Frost/Nixon’) stars as her immature, yet well-meaning husband, and Oscar nominee Gabourey Sidibe ‘(Precious’) plays her precocious student.

KEY EPISODE:Hardcore Pawn‘ (10pm on truTV) **Series Premiere**

truTV is heading to Detroit for an inside look at one of the country’s largest pawn shops in this new series. For people in Detroit, the go-to pawn shop is the expansive American Jewelry and Loan, owned by Les Gold. Dubbed “the working man’s bank.” This series takes viewers into the sometimes-zany world of Les’ establishment, where a wide assortment of people bring in everything from alligators to prosthetic limbs. Each pawn ticket has a story, and there are more than 40,000 stories in the warehouse to tell.

Lightman and his ex-wife, Zoe (guest star Jennifer Beals), witness the execution of a murderer they prosecuted 17 years ago and face the possibility that they sent the wrong man to his death in the all-new “Pied Piper” episode.
