Comcast On Demand today premieres a handful of new movies that should pique your interest in some way, shape or form. You’ve got the action rom-com Killers, starring Katherine Heigl and Ashton Kutcher, right alongside the goofball comedy MacGruber, the last hurrah for Will Forte before leaving ‘Saturday Night Live.’ Then there’s an period drama from a long lost Tennessee Williams screenplay entitled The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond that you should also check out. Take a closer look at these films below.
The goofy ‘Saturday Night Live’ spoof of MacGyver gets its own movie treatment before the real series managed the feat, with Will Forte starring as a ridiculous bomb-squad “expert,” Kristen Wiig as his meek love interest, Ryan Phillippe as his competent partner and Val Kilmer as the evil Dieter Von Cunth.
The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond
In this adaptation of a long lost Tennessee Williams screenplay, Bryce Dallas Howard stars as Fisher Willow, a rebellious socialite struggling against the oppressive nature of high society, trying to find herself a chance at true love with a destitute farmhand named Jimmy Dobyne (Chris Evans), whom she hires to escort her to parties. When she loses a priceless earring, though, the accusations threaten to destroy everything.
