With its series premiere now less than two weeks away, ‘Law & Order: Los Angeles‘ continues to tweak its cast.
The latest addition: Veteran actor Peter Coyote, last seen playing POTUS on ‘FlashForward,’ will recur as the District Attorney overseeing Alfred Molina’s Peter Morales and Terrence Howard’s Joe Dekker. Coyote’s other recent TV credits include ‘The 4400’ and ‘Brothers & Sisters,’ where he wooed Sally Field.
Also, perhaps until ‘LOLA’ can enlist California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger himself for a visit, the crime drama has tapped his ‘Total Recall’ costar, Rachel Ticotin, to take over the role of the Lieutenant in charge of the LAPD Robbery Homicide division. Coming on as a series regular, Ticotin will quickly reshoot two episodes’ worth of scenes that previously featured Wanda De Jesus (‘CSI: Miami’) as Lt. Arleen Gonzales.
According to Deadline.com, the reason for the recast is to “take the role in a different direction.”
‘Law & Order: LA’ also stars Skeet Ulrich, Corey Stoll, Megan Boone and Regina Hall, and premieres Wednesday, September 29, at 10/9c (after ‘SVU’).
