The rumors are true: Bravo is whipping up a ‘Top Chef: All-Stars‘ edition for Season 8.
The announcement was made Wednesday night during the ‘Top Chef: D.C.’ reunion special.
That’s been the word from the kitchen since early September, when reports began to surface claiming a lot of familiar restaurant faces were currently filming in NYC.
Indeed, the upcoming season of the fave foodie show will be seasoned with a secret ingredient: 18 previous cheftestants–all former frontrunners–battling it out in the Big Apple for the title they came so close to: ‘Top Chef.’
There will also be a new judge on the menu: Anthony Bourdain, who’s been a guest judge in previous seasons, will be sitting at Judges Table each week alongside Padma Lakshmi, Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons.
So who’s participating in the sure-to-be heated competition?
From Season 1
From Season 2

The ‘Top’-notch reality series–which pulled off a major upset at this year’s Emmys by winning ‘Outstanding Reality Competition’ and breaking ‘The Amazing Race’s seven-year winning streak–is returning to New York City for the All-Star edition (the same location for Season 5).
In this season’s food fight, Kevin Sbraga emerged as the surprise winner of ‘Top Chef D.C.’
‘Top Chef: All-Stars’ premieres Wednesday, Dec. 1st, at 10 p.m./EST on Bravo.
