‘Sex and the City‘ star Kristin Davis is returning to television in a series for NBC.
Davis will star in and co-executive produce ‘The Happiness Project,’ a single-camera comedy that has received a script commitment from the network.
The sitcom is based on Gretchen Rubin’s best-selling memoir of the same name.
Rubin, a former clerk for Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, spent a year studying theories, both scientific and pop-culture based, on how to be a happier person. She also launched a popular blog documenting her experiments.
One can assume Davis’ happy-ending-loving alter-ego Charlotte York would approve.
