A teary-eyed Audrina Patridge was eliminated Tuesday night on ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ but those tears will soon dry up as the reality star has an exciting announcement.
The former ‘Hills‘ cast member is launching her own reality show from ‘Survivor’ producer Mark Burnett on VH1. Filming is set to begin early next year. The network is expected to formally announce the series Wednesday.
“The show with Mark Burnett did get picked up with VH1, so the journey continues,” Patridge told reporters backstage after Tuesday’s ‘DWTS’ results show. The reality show will focus on her life and “my family and me and everything that everybody always wondered about they’re going to see,” she said.
“And, yeah, Tony will be on it. He’s one of my good friends now. He’ll make some trips to New York and visit,” she added. Yep, the L.A. girl said New York.
Audrina’s not the only one with exciting news. Dovolani also discussed his post-season plans, revealing that he and fellow dance pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy are opening a dance studio in Hollywood called Dance with Me.
As for her early ‘Dancing’ departure, Audrina said she was truly shocked.
“I didn’t think we were going home tonight,” she told reporters after the show. “I was baffled last night and I’m still baffled. The judges’ comments were harsh, but there’s nothing I can really say. I had a great experience, a great journey. I’ve made such good friends and I’ve learned a lot about myself and I’ve grown as a person.”
On what she learned the most about herself, Patridge said, “I found a new confidence. It’s almost like, because I’m not on ‘The Hills’ any more, I can kind of get in touch with myself and what I want and what I want to do. And make my own decisions now. I feel like I’m just maturing more and more.”
