XfinityTV.com users are having their say, and thus far the fence-sitting freshman series you most want to see saved is… ‘Detroit 1-8-7,’ which stars Michael Imperioli (‘The Sopranos’) and airs Tuesdays at 10/9c on ABC.
Of the four first-year scripted series yet to be picked up for a full season, the ABC cop drama was the one most mentioned as being worthy of rescue, cited in 46 percent of the Comments in this story.
Placing a very close second, as of the most recent tally, was FX’s ‘Terriers,’ which has 39 percent of you clamoring for more, though the smart series’ small sampling could preclude a pick-up.
NBC’s ‘Undercovers,’ despite its J.J. Abrams pedigree and fantastically telegenic leads, only mustered 12 percent of your votes, while Fox’s ‘Running Wilde‘ didn’t elicit a single “Hail Mary” request. Not one.
Similarly, NBC’s unscripted Friday-night weeper, ‘School Pride,’ didn’t merit mention by a single reader.
Three percent of the comments elected to not save any of the four freshman scripted shows that are still awaiting word on their ultimate fate.
Though the question we posed on Wednesday was pegged to freshman shows, some returning series at risk nonetheless reaped much love. The CW’s ‘Life Unexpected,’ which just got word that its second season won’t be extended beyond 13 episodes, drew many votes, as did CBS’ ‘Medium,’ which had its Season 7 order cut to 13.
