Could ‘The Donald’ become ‘The President’?
Donald Trump is seriously considering running for president.
“Would I rather be in the race or not be in the race? I can tell you, I love what I’m doing. I’m having a great time what I’m doing … But it could be fun because I’d like to see some positive things happen for the country.”
“We’re like a whipping post right now,” he says of the United States.
Trump expects to make a final decision by June and says he would run as a Republican. That would mean his main GOP challenger could potentially be the unbelievably unstoppable Sarah Palin.
Palin has been candid, and calculated, in hinting that she may make a bid for the Oval Office.
She even goes so far as to tell Barbara Walters that she thinks she could beat President Barack Obama in 2012. That interview, taped for ABC’s ’10 Most Fascinating People’ special, airs Dec. 9th.
“I’m looking at the lay of the land now, and trying to figure that out — if it’s a good thing for the country, for the discourse, for my family — if it’s a Good Thing,” Palin says, sounding very Martha Stewart.
Even the boisterous braggart Donald Trump knows sassy Sarah Palin is a formidable opponent.
“She’s very interesting. And don’t underestimate her. I mean, I see what she does. Do not underestimate Sarah Palin,” Trump admits.
Could America really have two reality stars in contention to become the next Commander-in-Chief? Would a Trump vs. Palin White House bid make an interesting campaign season? You betcha. Would it make a mockery of our political system? You betcha!
Trump first revealed last month during a late-night appearance that he was considering running for President of the United States.
