Having already spend time in Boston and Seattle, the next big city Kelsey Grammer will call home is Chicago.

The five-time Emmy winner will star in ‘Boss,’ a ‘King Lear-inspired Starz drama series about a Windy City mayor who is diagnosed with a degenerative mental condition that only he and his doctor know about – akin to how ‘The West Wing’s President Bartlet concealed his MS, I’ll point out.

Starz has ordered eight episodes, with feature helmer Gus Van Sant (‘Milk’) on board to direct the pilot as well as exec-produce the series, Deadline reports.

Grammer, his production partner Brian Sher and Stella Stolper will also serve as executive producers.

As described, does ‘Boss’ get your vote? Are you curious to see Kelsey Grammer tackle his first drama series role?
