‘SNL’ Bounces Back to Funny with Anne Hathaway

After last week’s nearly laugh-free episode, ‘Saturday Night Live’ bounced back toward funny with the help of Anne Hathaway’s stellar versatility.

The star of Love and Other Drugs lampooned her racy Entertainment Weekly cover, did a fantastic Katie Holmes impression and even did a little mockery of her breakout hit The Princess Diaries by playing newly minted royal-to-be Kate Middleton learning the horrible truth about Queen Elizabeth (as played by Fred Armisen).

Other notable bits included the opening Rachel Maddow spoof, Seth Meyers taking Sarah Palin to task for comparing her verbal fumbles to Shakespeare, the return of the Miley Cyrus Show, Bill Hader’s elderly field reporter and a great send-up of the ongoing brouhaha about TSA and their groping procedures.
