On Demand Now: ‘Eat Pray Love,’ ‘The Expendables’ & Much More

Xfinity On Demand today premieres a huge slate of movies to enjoy over the holiday weekend, including Julia Roberts’ latest Eat Pray Love, as well as Sylvester Stallone’s massive action-star festival The Expendables.

There’s also Sam Rockwell’s drunken basketball coach’s Winning Season, Rob Reiner’s sweet nostalgic teen rom-com Flipped and a doc on a renowned street artist called Exit Through The Gift Shop and one about the nuclear threat that still exists in this post-Cold War world entitled Countdown to Zero.

Eat Pray Love
Julia Roberts stars in this adaptation of the popular book as Liz Gilbert, a woman who finds herself at a loss once her dreams of domestic bliss are shattered by a painful divorce, so she sets off to try and find herself by traveling to Italy, India and Bali, and along the way learns more about herself than she ever expected.

The Expendables
Sylvester Stallone. Jason Statham. Jet Li. Mickey Rourke. Dolph Lundgren. Randy Couture. Stone Cold Steve Austin. Eric Roberts. Terry Crews. All of these badass action stars are involved in a massive conflict between cold-blooded mercenaries and a rogue CIA operative trying to control the drug trade in South America. It even has cameos from Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The Winning Season
The immensely talented Sam Rockwell plays a drunk wash-out ex-athlete struggling to hold down a job and relate to his daughter who gets hired to coach a girls’ basketball team who doesn’t have a chance in hell at succeeding, but when he finds the connection to these girls that he can’t get with his daughter, his true skills come out and he manages to turn them into a competitor. Also starring Emma Roberts, Rob Corddry, and Rooney Mara, who has just been cast in the American remake of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Director Rob Reiner brings us a coming-of-age romantic comedy following Bryce (Callan McAuliffe) and Juli (Madeline Carroll) through grade school and into junior high and discovering their first love. Featuring Anthony Edwards, John Mahoney, Penelope Ann Miller and Aidan Quinn.
