Teen Mom‘ Amber Portwood wasn’t allowed to spend Thanksgiving with her two-year-old daughter. Leah was made a “ward of the state” following an emergency child placement hearing on Tuesday, Radaronline.com reported.

Portwood, 20, and the child’s father, Gary Shirley, were both present at the hearing, which resulted in a judge determining that a government agency will oversee Leah’s living situation.

Leah will continue to live with her father even following the ward of the state determination. Her MTV reality TV star mom was allowed a supervised visit with her baby at Gary’s house after court Tuesday.

The web site later reported that Portwood “threw a fit” because she wasn’t going to be allowed to see Leah on the holiday.

“They’re all are spending it at Amber’s grandmother’s house but Gary and Leah can’t be there with Amber,” a source connected to the family told Radar.

Amber will have to fight for custody following the six-month monitoring period placed on her by the Indiana Department of Child Services after she attacked Gary on-camera and in front of Leah. She may be required to participate in programs to show she is fit to be reunited with her daughter.

Portwood was charged with felony domestic violence.
