Happy Birthday to little Josie Duggar.

The “miracle” baby turned a year old on Dec. 10th and is coming along well after a difficult year of struggle and health issues.

People magazine has the details on how the Duggar family is celebrating Josie’s first birthday, as well as an update on how she’s doing.

“She’s waving hello and goodbye,” mom Michelle tells People. “She’s saying da-da … Her outlook is so wonderful. It is a miracle.”

The Duggar’s 19th child was born prematurely at just 25 weeks via emergency C-section, weighing just 1 lb. 6 oz.

Now a healthy 15 lbs., 12 oz., Josie is “doing well developmentally,” according to People, although she is regularly monitored and receives oxygen while she sleeps. “We call her our little pajama girl because she has to wear a certain kind of snap pajamas for the monitor wires,” Michelle says.

The younger Duggar siblings are in the holiday spirit, helping decorate the house for Josie’s birthday and making it an even more festive and special time for the family. “It is incredible,” says Michelle. “It is a wonderful day.”

The family, featured on the TLC reality show “19 Kids and Counting,” revealed in November that they were expecting another addition to the Duggar clan.
