Kiefer Sutherland Lands First Post-’24’ Role

24” star Kiefer Sutherland is used to saving the day, but now the actor will be wiping out bad guys in a whole different way.

Sutherland has signed on for a new web-based action series, it was announced Thursday.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sutherland and John Hurt will star in “The Confession,” a web series that will air on and be distributed by the Digital Broadcasting Group.

The ten five-minute episodes will feature Sutherland as a hitman and Hurt as the priest he confides in about why his victims deserved to die.

Sutherland will also serve as executive producer.

This marks Sutherland’s first role since his hit Fox drama “24” ended in May 2010 after eight seasons.
