Poor David Cassidy. The former pop idol, evidencing a personality too low wattage for prime time, was the first star fired on “Celebrity Apprentice.” He disagreed with the choice. Too bad for his charity. Cassidy was raising money for Alzheimer’s Disease research, a cause with a personal connection. His mother, actress Evelyn Ward, has suffered from severe dementia for the past five years.
