Dixie Chicks Doc ‘Shut Up & Sing’ To Air On CMT

Attention Dixie Chicks fans. For the first time, CMT is broadcasting the acclaimed documentary “Shut Up and Sing“, which explores trouble the popular all-female country group had in 2003 when lead singer, Natalie Maines, uttered critical words towards then President George W. Bush and forever changed their lives and altered the group’s success. The Dixie Chicks have still been all but banned from country radio and continue to fuel heated debate among country purists and free speech activists alike. The documentary also includes the making of their 2006 album Taking the Long Way. It’s part of CMT Music & A Movie on Saturday, March 26 at 9:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m., ET/PT. Check out clips below.
