After Brad Womack reveals his bride-to-be on Monday night’s “Bachelor” finale, Jimmy Kimmel will reveal some news himself: who will be the next “Bachelorette.”

In contention are dancing dentist Ashley Herbert (a front-runner, according to Chris Harrison), and one of the final two ladies Womack doesn’t choose on Monday – be it southern belle Emily Maynard, or slaphappy Chantal O’Brien. ABC has also teased a potential break from tradition, which could mean a totally unknown face for the franchise.

Following the announcement on Monday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” Kimmel will sit down with the new “Bachelorette” for an interview that ABC promises “you definitely will not want to miss.”

Of course, this is all provided Kimmel makes it back safely from his vacation in French Polynesia. Earlier today, Kimmel tweeted that he was evacuating the small island where he’d been staying in light of Tsunami warnings.

Kimmel began updating his Twitter soon after Japan’s Tsunami hit Friday. At first his tweets started out as jokes: “Suddenly, relaxing on an island in the South Pacific isn’t so relaxing anymore. Good thing I brought my aqua stilts.” Then they turned grave when someone asked how frightened he was on a scale of 1-10. Kimmel responded, “A good solid 7. on a small island, with no high ground.”

Hours later Kimmel followed up with this news: “We are evacuating the island. dogspeed.”

Be safe, Jimmy.
