Comedian Sarah Silverman will try her hand at dramatic acting when she guest-stars on “The Good Wife” on the second-to-last episode of the season, CBS confirmed Wednesday.
The story came originally from a Tweet posted by unnamed writers on the New York-based drama (which nevertheless takes place in Chicago) starring Juliana Margulies and Chris Noth. There was no word on who Silverman would play on the show or how her character would impact the series’ regulars.
“BREAKING NEWS for those of you who are still here with us: Sarah Silverman will guest star in Episode 222,” the Tweet said, referring to the 22nd episode of the show’s second season. No. 223 is the season finale. Both episodes will be seen in May. The show airs Tuesday nights at 10/9c on CBS.
What else are the “Good Wife” writers tweeting these days? Well, in answer to one viewer’s question, they tweeted that, yes, Alicia (Margulies) will find out Kalinda’s devastating secret concerning Alicia’s husband before the season ends. The secret, revealed last week, was that Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) slept with Alicia’s husband, Peter (Noth), a few years back. “A to your Q,” read the revealing Tweet. “Yes, Alicia will find out the truth before the end of the season … the next five episodes are CAN’T MISS!”
