Whether it’s the most coveted job in reality TV, or they just want us to think it is, everybody connected to music, and now even “Dancing,” is being teased for “X Factor.”
This time it’s former “Dancing with the Stars” pro Julianne Hough who’s the latest on the long list of names who’ve reportedly met with execs to audition for the final slot at the judges’ table. Fergie and Nicole Scherzinger are also said to be in the running, while Jessica Simpson and Katy Perry have admitted to trying out for the job. Not to mention Paula Abdul, who has been rumored to be reuniting with her former “Idol” pal Cowell since the American version of “X Factor” was announced last year.
Music exec L.A. Reid, who was confirmed as one of the judges last month, was also reported as saying that British singer Cheryl Cole has locked up a spot on the talent show–which will feature two hosts.
Simon Cowell will be the head judge and executive produce “X Factor,” which premieres this fall on Fox.
