The home of country music star Trace Adkins, a former finalist on “The Celebrity Apprentice,” was destroyed by fire on Saturday, according to the Associated Press and other news sources.

Adkins and wife Rhonda had lived in the 5,000-square-foot house in the Nashville suburb of Brentwood, Tenn., for 11 years. No one was injured in the fire, although two of the Adkins’ children, along with several houseguests, were in the house when it broke out, the Nashville newspaper The Tennessean reported.

Adkins himself was on a plane headed to a concert engagement in Alaska. When he learned about the fire, he immediately returned to Nashville. “I’m just numb,” Rhonda Adkins told the newspaper. “I’m sad because we lost irreplaceable things like all Trace’s awards and our family photos.” The cause of the blaze is under investigation.

Adkins is well-known to TV viewers. The big, burly, affable country singer was a star of the seventh season of “The Apprentice” on NBC – which was the first “Celebrity Apprentice.” Other celebs seen that season (which premiered in January 2008) included Marilu Henner, Gene Simmons, former “Apprentice” star Omarosa, actor Stephen Baldwin and boxer Lennox Lewis.

Adkins made the finals, going up against Piers Morgan – who was then best-known as a judge on “America’s Got Talent.” Morgan won.

While the weekend fire was no doubt tragic for the Adkins family, at least in terms of losing valued possessions, the family still has another home, in the rural Tennessee community of Eagleville, where they will reportedly live until they can rebuild closer to Nashville.

The Eagleville home was the one featured just last month in the HGTV special, “Hollywood at Home,” which also featured homes owned by Paul Shaffer, “Good Morning America’s” Lara Spencer, OWN’s Lisa Ling and comedian John Leguizamo.
