He’s a Golden Globe winner. He’s a Prom Queen. He’s a screenwriter. And soon Chris Colfer may be a bestselling author. The “Glee” star, who is writing a pilot for the Disney Channel and a separate indie film, signed a two-book deal with Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, according to The Hollywood Reporter. His first novel, titled “The Land of Stories,” and will chronicle the adventures of twins Alex and Connor Bailey. “When I was 10 years old, I promised myself that if I ever had the opportunity to write this book, I would jump at the chance,” Colfer said in a statement announcing the news Wednesday. “This book has been at the core of my imagination for a long time and I’m excited and nervous to share it.” Prior to the news, Colfer, who turned 27 at the end of May and is currently on the Glee Tour, tweeted, “I have a big announcement coming soon. A project I’m very excited about.” Indeed, but it’s still going to be hard to top his standout performance in the “Glee” episode “Prom Queen.” Take a look:
