Want to know what the world is watching? It might surprise you.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” is the world’s No. 1 show — at least in term of global ratings — for the fourth time in six years.

The Jerry Bruckheimer franchise was bestowed with the International Television Audience Award for a Drama TV Series at the 51st Monte Carlo TV Festival, reports Deadline Hollywood, an honor which recognizes programs that delivered the highest ratings worldwide in 2010.

Laurence Fishburne Is Leaving “CSI”

While the recognition may seem stale and behind the times to American audiences who have watched the former juggernaut fade in recent years, according to statistics from Eurodata TV Worldwide at least, the crime procedural has the highest ratings across five continents.

Looks like “CSI” can claim it’s on top of the world … at least for a little while longer.
