Goldie Hawn Signs On For New HBO Comedy Series

HBO is going for the Goldie. As in Hawn, the Oscar-winning actress, who has just signed with the cable network to take on her first acting gig in ten years, according to Deadline Hollywood. The series, titled “The Viagra Diaries,” is based a book by Barbara Rose Brooker and will be helmed by “Sex and the City” creator/executive producer Darren Star. He is will produce this new show along with Hawn, and is set to write the pilot script. “Viagra Diaries” is the story of a 65-year-old woman (Hawn), whose husband dumps her. For the first time in 35 years, she’s single and dating again. The half-hour comedy is Hawn’s first scripted appearance in TV or film since the 2002 movie, “The Banger Sisters,” which folks with Cinemax can watch here.
