The hunt for “Law & Order: SVU’s” two new detectives has ended. NBC has signed Kelli Giddish (“Chase”) and Danny Pino (“Criminal Minds”) as series regulars.

Pino will replace a departing Christopher Meloni, while Giddish is potentially being groomed to take over for Mariska Hargitay – who has requested a lighter schedule when the hit procedural returns for a 13th season this Fall.

“Kelli and Danny are two great actors who will join a proven cast headed by Mariska Hargitay as this exceptional series heads into a very promising 13th season,” said NBC Entertainment Chairman Bob Greenblatt.

Added executive producer/creator Dick Wolf, “I’m very pleased that we have two amazing actors joining the cast. I know this combination will give us the opportunity to explore the world of ‘SVU’ with new eyes.”
