And another one jumps in the talk show pool…
“Survivor” host Jeff Probst has signed on to host a one-hour daytime talk show starting in fall 2012 on CBS.
“I’m fascinated with human nature and thrilled that this show will allow me the opportunity to connect with real people and explore their stories on a personal level,” Probst said in a statement. “As I continue with Survivor, I am excited to extend my relationship with CBS with this new adventure in the world of daytime.”
On his new show, Probst, who has gained some talk-show experience subbing for Regis Philbin on “Live With Regis and Kelly,” as well as on “Larry King Live,” will cover a range of topics, from “newsmakers to ordinary families in extraordinary circumstances to individuals facing challenges.”
But don’t worry, reality TV fans: The Emmy winner isn’t snuffing his own torch on “Survivor,” which is now filming its 23rd and 24th seasons – the filming schedule will allow Probst to do double show duty.
