We already know, as XfinityTv.com was the first to report in June, that Lady Gaga is going to serve as a guest judge on “So You Think You Can Dance” later this season. But might she also hit the dance floor for a number too?
When we caught up with Nigel Lythgoe, executive producer and judge of “SYTYCD,” Thursday night, he was beaming to reiterate that the show really does have Gaga coming on. “Gaga is definitely coming. Definitely coming. She’s coming. Definitely,” he charmingly put it.
“I think Ellen [DeGeneres] is up to her eyes at the moment,” he added, referring to his previous interview with us in which he said the talk-show host might guest judge this season as well. “Gaga’s absolutely definite. She’s never really judged before so this is going to be interesting. You know, is she going to be tough?”
Tough, probably. But the big question is: Will Lady Gaga perform on the show as well?
“I don’t think I’ll be able to stop her doing a number,” Lythgoe revealed.
Meanwhile, “Modern Family” star Jesse Tyler Ferguson will be next Wednesday’s guest judge and Nicole Scherzinger is the musical guest.
“He’s a huge dance fan, and went to stage school and all that so he knows all about it,” added Lythgoe.
