Another doctor is in. According to Deadline Hollywood, actress/comedian Charlyne Yi has signed on to the Fox medical hit “House,” playing the latest put-upon member of Dr. House’s (Hugh Laurie) perpetually perplexed team of physicians. There’s no word yet on exactly what sort of part producers have in mind for Yi, best known for her roles in “Knocked Up” and “Paper Heart,” a documentary she co-wrote. However, her hiring does come barely a week after actress Odette Annable was also brought on board for next year too. With Lisa Edelstein (Cuddy) departing the show next year and Olivia Wilde (13) busy with her movie career, it had seemed like the female population at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital might be declining. However, with these two new hires, House will clearly not be hurting for women to battle with.
