It’s considered one of the best jobs in television, and while many hopefuls may be tossing and turning and crossing their fingers over whether they will get it, one talent whose name pops up again and again simply isn’t interested.
We’re talking about who will be replacing Regis Philbin on “Live with Regis & Kelly” when the 79-year-old host steps down this November. Among the rumored names to replace him are CNN’s Anderson Cooper and jack-of-all-television-trades Ryan Seacrest.
But it’s co-host Kelly Ripa’s husband, Mark Consuelos, who has entered the rumor mill, much to his dismay. “It’s our favorite rumor, because the one person with zero interest in the job would be my husband,” Ripa told E! Online.
Why wouldn’t he want the job of all jobs?
“He enjoys it once in a while, but he always says he likes being married better than he likes doing that job because he says it would be too much for us,” she answered.
