Has TV turned sour on the glut of sweet-toothed cupcake-themed shows?

From cupcakes to candy land! TLC turns its spotlight on a new reality series called “Candy Queen,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The network has ordered six half-hour episodes that will follow Jackie Sorkin, who runs the L.A.-based candy company The Hollywood Candy Girls, as she juggles her roles as wife, mother and, uh, “Candy Queen.”

“Candy Queen joins TLC’s larger-than-life workplace series,” says TLC’s SVP of Production & Development, Howard Lee. “Like Cake Boss and LA Ink revealing the mouthwatering art of Jackie’s business and the sweet and sour side of balancing a career, a family, and everything else.”

“Candy Queen” is set to premiere this winter.
