She’s tough as nails on her CNN show, she doesn’t back down to anyone, and she is known for seeing red, getting her blood boiling, and firing back at opposing ideas. But how will Nancy Grace do once Carrie Ann, Bruno, and Len get a go at her dancing skills on Season 13 of “Dancing with the Stars?”
“Well, let me put it this way, all I know how to do is try a murder case and put a bad guy behind bars. Dancing, I know nothing about at all. So I’m willing to hear whatever judge the judges have to tell me,” she told reporters at the cast reveal Monday night in Los Angeles.”
Grace graced us with a little Q&A post-announcement to talk about her fears, her competition, and Dr. Phil’s recent crack…
We love when you get fired up on “Nancy Grace.” Will we see that at judging time?
Nancy Grace: Well, maybe a little.
Will we see a softer, sweeter side to you?
Nancy Grace: Well, I’m bringing the twins with me….
Ah, so you’ll be in mommy mode…
Nancy Grace: Yeah. At first I thought I could [travel back and forth], but I tried that before with ‘Swift Justice’ and the twins didn’t like it. I was only gone three nights and it didn’t go over well at all. So, we’re all of us coming out here. It’s hard being away from them.
What are you going to do together in L.A.?
Nancy Grace: We’re gonna go to the aquarium. We’re gonna go to Disney. We’re gonna go to the water park… the dance studio, the Michael Jackson trial. They actually like going to work with me, which is neat.
What’s your biggest fear in doing “Dancing?”
Nancy Grace: I guess my biggest fear is falling, not being able to do it. Look at all the competition. They are young, skinny, beautiful, soccer players, stars. I don’t belong here. I’m a mom. I just had twins.
How do you feel about your competition?
Nancy Grace: That’s pretty stiff competition. You people did see [Ricki Lake in] ‘Hairspray,’ didn’t you? My whole life has been about putting bad guys away…representing crime victims. This is such a huge departure to get to dress up in crazy outfits and dance? Are you kidding me?
Did you hear Dr. Phil say he cracked the case against Casey Anthony?
Nancy Grace: Oh, did he say that? Well, you know what? Power to him.
