The new cast of “Dancing with the Stars” has barely touched the hardwood yet, but some of them are already picking David Arquette as the one to look out for.

When asked who is her biggest competition based in first impressions alone, Wilson Phillips singer Chynna Phillips was quick to answer, “David Arquette, hands’ down. I think he’s a really good dancer and I think he’s got some secret moves in his vault that he’s not breaking out right now. I’m scared of him.”

Hope Solo (goal keeper for the U.S. women’s soccer team) dittoed that. “David Arquette because he’s a free spirit and he’s just gonna let it all hang loose out on the dance floor and that’s really hard to do in front of the entire world.”

Kristin Cavallari (“The Hills”), however, was torn between Arquette and Ricki Lake. “Ricki wants it bad and she has such a huge fan base. I think she’s going to be one of the fan favorites. And, David, I think he’s going to have a lot of fun with it and just be kind of a goofball and people will like to be entertained by that.”

What does the “Scream” star think? “Well, you know, I have a lot of clumsiness that they might not know about that I have to come to terms with and really sort of work on,” he humbled stated.

Getting quite serious on the topic of dancing, the actor – who went through a very public breakup with his wife of 12 years Courteney Cox Arquette in October 2010 – explained why this is a good time to do such a show.

“I’ve been doing a lot of self-reflection and coming to terms with who I am and really being honest with myself, being humbled,” he told XfinityTV.com. “My experience has really grounded me and I’m just trying to do things that sort of keep me in a positive direction and thing that bring joy to my life. Dancing and music are two of my favorite things, and learning that flow and grace and dignity that comes with it is exciting to me.”
