Charlie Sheen at the Emmys? It Could Happen

Look who’s being mentioned as a possible surprise presenter at Sunday night’s Emmy Awards: Charlie Sheen!

The wayward sitcom star — whose admitted heavy drug use, run-ins with the law and threats of violence got him fired from “Two and a Half Men” last March — is suddenly the toast of the town in Hollywood.

He’s been making the rounds and turning on the charm on NBC’s “Tonight Show” last Thursday night, “The Today Show” on Friday and, this Monday, on the nationally syndicated “Wendy Williams Show.” And, of course, on Monday night he’ll be “guest of honor” on a Comedy Central roast.

But before that, he might turn up at the TV industry’s annual awards showcase — the Emmys, according to

Deadline has few, if any, details in the story, which hedges its bets slightly with this wording: “Deadline has learned that the former ‘Two and a Half Men’ star is expected to make a surprise appearance at the ceremony tomorrow night.” No sources are cited, but the story does point out that unnamed Emmy sources have previously labeled Sheen a “dream get” for the Emmy show.
