‘Millionaire Matchmaker’ Patti Stanger Harshly Criticizes Gays and Jews

UPDATED: Patti Stanger has issued a defense for her seemingly anti-gay comments on Sunday’s “Watch What Happens: Live.” On Monday afternoon, Stanger tweeted: “…It’s true LA gays toughest nuts to crack to monogamy!” This was soon followed by another more apologetic tweet: “Attn male Gays: I support you & my comment on WWHL was to a LA guy who can’t find commitment.”

PREVIOUSLY: Even though “Millionaire MatchmakerPatti Stanger is Jewish, has tons of gay friends, and would probably consider herself a smart single woman—she’s got beef with any of you who fall into those categories.

Chatting with Bravo host Andy Cohen on “Watch What Happens: Live” on Sunday, Patti argued that gay men are basically allergic to monogamy. “In the gay world, it will always be open,” she said. “There is no curbing the gay man.”

Even when the Jewish and openly gay host told the blunt reality star that he’s all for being in a committed relationship, she laughed at him and eventually proclaimed that “Jewish men lie.”

As for smart single women living in the Big Apple, it’s no surprise that Patti reiterated her disdain for what she considers an annoyingly finicky breed, even suggesting that playing dumb is the best route for these ladies to go to snag a man.

“Women are smart in business and dumb in love,” the third-generation matchmaker said. “They won’t date outside their zip code, let alone outside the city. They are city snobs. Real men that are making money in this economy are buying homes in short sales and foreclosures out in the suburbs, getting their homestead set up for their families, and [women say] ‘I won’t go to Connecticut.’ This is where the men are.”

She added: “[Men] don’t like [smart women] before they are married. You’ve got to dumb it down a little because men are not that bright.”

Well, we guess Patti’s future man won’t be feeling too smart when he gets a load of this—and double that if he happens to be Jewish.
