It was another case of power-hungry game play and semi-unconscious gorging on Tuesday night’s “Biggest Loser” when 41-year-old contestant John inhaled a whopping 37 donuts in a three-minute temptation challenge!

The prize? The power to choose what time of day each of the three teams would be able to work out. Really? Thirty-seven artery cloggers (or better put, 1295 calories) just to win that?!

“My heart broke for [John] when he realized what he’d done,” wrote host Allison Sweeney on her “Biggest Loser” blog for People. “But in the end, he really learned a lot because of the choices he made in that moment.”

Doughy sweets aside, the football coach from Arizona—who trainer Bob Harper mockingly called “Donut” during workouts—also learned that it’s not just what he pummels in his mouth that’ll get him into trouble – but also what he blurts out.

The 408-lb. Black Team contestant angered his younger cohorts when he declared that he gave the oldest group the best workout time because he respected them. He also brought fellow team member Sunny to tears when she discovered he was telling other contestants that she was “dumb as poo.” After he was repudiated for such degrading comments, he was additionally outed for trying to make clandestine alliances with members from other teams!

While John suffered the consequences for his mouthiness, luckily for him, he was spared from being booted off the ranch.

In the end, 65-year-old “donut-grunting” Johnny from Massachusetts was sent home, making him the second contestant from the oldest group to exit the show.

Looks like trainer Anna Kournikova needs to conjure her inner-Jillian Michaels a little more and show these seniors no mercy.

“The Biggest Loser” airs Tuesdays on NBC at 8/7c.
