Dancing with the Stars” has not had a shockeroo like this in recent memory. The worst dancer did not go home. The celebrity at the bottom of the leaderboard did not go home. Instead, Tuesday’s results show sent home a contender with great scores and a lot of potential.

Let’s get right to it…

***Spoiler Alert***

Though the ballroom buzz was that Chaz’s time had come, he and Lacey were among the first deemed safe. The shocked pressroom burst out in cheers, partly because everyone loves an underdog and Chaz is the underdog of the season. But also because this means that Cher might grace us with her presence in the audience next week as she promised. Cher Tweeted Monday night that if Chaz made it through this week (most thought there was no way he would), she would take her seat in the ballroom to show some support.

Okay, onto the bottom three celebrities. This week, the couples in jeopardy were Hope and Maks, Carson and Anna, and Kristin and Mark.

“This is truly crazy,” said Len of the bottom two (Hope and Maks and Kristin and Mark). “It’s madness. It’s just madness!”

Tom Bergeron then announced that Kristin and Mark had been eliminated from the competition.

The reality star was shocked, with her mouth wide open at the results.

“I’m a little surprised to be honest,” said Kristin. “It is what it is.”

Surprised is an understatement. No one expected this. The pair had wowed the crowd with their sexy samba the night before, scoring a solid 24.

Elsewhere on the show…

Star Power: Nothing eases the pain of elimination night like a mega-superstar in the house to belt out their hit song to get the contestants’ minds off going home, and this time it was Mary J. Blige.

Delivering a riveting performance of “Real Love” and “25/8,” Blige kicked off the show in high spirits. Not to be outdone, Estelle gave us chills with her unique rendition of “The Twist” in a Macy’s Stars of Dance tribute to that iconic dance craze, which turned the big 5-0 this year.

Second Biggest Surprise of the Night: Chubby Checker walking down the long staircase looking uber-cool in a denim jacket to sing and, yes, twist, with Estelle and company. Len Goodman even let his, er, hair down and twisted with Chubby, who turned 70-years-old today. A-ma-zing!

Touching Moment of the Night: J.R. Martinez hugging Chaz Bono after Monday night’s performance, telling him he is an inspiration too, whether it’s in this forum or elsewhere. There is a lot of love among this cast and we don’t say that often.

Encore Performance: Len Goodman chose Chynna and Tony for the combination of performance and technique. Their second shot at the romantic Rumba was grace redux!

Dirty Girls: The quote of the night goes to what Cheryl said to Rob during the performance, but this is a family show. Cheryl told us that she sometimes talks dirty to him during the performance to help keep his energy up during the show. We begged her to tell us what she says exactly, but Miss Burke’s a lady and refused to dish.

But the real quote of the night is Hope echoing Maks’ infamous quote from last season saying, “I feel like sex on a stick. Just dip it and [makes a licking motion].” Dirty girls!

Julianne Hough’s Return! Up next week is “Movie Score Week” and the return of Julianne Hough to the ballroom on Tuesday, marking her first time back at “DWTS” since Season 9. She’ll be dancing with her “Footloose” co-star Kenny Wormald. Looks like we’ll see some sibling shimmying on the dance floor as Julianne popped up on the show to reveal, “I might even throw in a dance with Derek.”

Six Degrees of “DWTS”: Adorable segment connecting all of the contestants together, such as Kristin having dated Brody Jenner, who is Rob Kardashian’s step-brother. That’s an obvious one. But did you know that Carson Kressley played an extra in Ricki Lake’s “Hairspray?” or that Chaz and Chynna are connected because her mom and Cher were friends and they had play dates as kids? Finally, a thoroughly enjoyable results’ show special segment.
